It belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). This drug should be administered one hour before a meal, preferably in the morning. The dosage will depend on your underlying condition and how you respond to the drug. You should keep on consuming it as advised even if your symptoms disappear quickly.
